Jean Laroche

Jean Laroche is a seasoned audio and signal processing expert with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Principal Algorithm Engineer at Universal Audio since February 2017, Jean has contributed to various projects, including the Luna platform. Prior to Universal Audio, Jean held the position of Principal Algorithm Engineer at Audience, a Knowles Company, focused on audio and speech technologies. Previous experience includes a role as Principal Scientist at Creative Labs / EMU Systems, developing innovative audio signal processing algorithms, and academic positions as a Professor at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications, where Jean taught acoustics and signal processing. An early career included post-doctoral research at CME, UCSD, and a Ph.D. in Audio Signal Processing from Télécom Paris, complemented by foundational studies at École Polytechnique and prestigious French institutions.
