Jim Wilcox has extensive experience in electronics assembly and packaging, currently serving as Director of the Electronics Assembly Research Consortium at Universal Instruments Corporation since 2014. Prior to this role, Jim Wilcox spent over three decades at IBM in various senior engineering and managerial positions, including Senior Technical Staff Member, where leadership was provided to the Pb-free Server Development team and critical manufacturing challenges were addressed. Additional significant roles included oversight of RoHS compliance audits and the development of innovative packaging technologies. Jim Wilcox holds a PhD in Material Science from Cornell University and two degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
