Miles McNerney is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing applications and firmware for industrial and laser engraving equipment. Currently employed at Universal Laser Systems since May 1999, Miles focuses on creating applications and device drivers using C/C++ and Typescript for both Windows and Linux platforms. Prior to this role, experience includes positions at Osmonics, Inc., and Lakewood Instruments LLC, where firmware and software were developed for industrial control systems. Early career experience as a systems analyst at Lighting Sciences, Inc. involved writing applications for specialized photometers. Miles holds a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Software Engineering from Arizona State University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution.

Universal Laser Systems has been advancing the application of modern CO2 laser technology since 1988. Research and Development efforts have resulted in numerous patents, with several pending, in our continual pursuit to develop and enhance laser systems that benefit the customer. Additional operating offices are located in Vienna, Austria and Yokohama, Japan to assist Universal Laser Systems customers and distributors. The Universal Laser Systems Global Factory Authorized Service network is on call around the globe for local system installation, service and maintenance. Our Applications Lab, dedicated to the continual advancement of laser material processing, has developed unique solutions for thousands of customers.
