Carlos Barahona has held various roles throughout their work experience. Carlos began their career in 2008 as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Montevallo, where they provided assistance to professors in the MBA program and managed classroom logistics. Carlos then transitioned to the role of Admissions Assistant, generating student profiles and coordinating with admissions counselors. Additionally, they served as a Montevallo Maven, giving tours and representing the university at events. In 2013, they joined Atherotech as a Client Relations Specialist, managing data and handling client inquiries. In 2015, they joined Universal Logistics Services, Inc. as the Director Of Business Development and Account Manager, responsible for ensuring efficient transportation for customers in the automotive industry. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Board Member for the City of Birmingham's Industrial Development Board, promoting industrial expansion through issuing bonds and granting tax incentives.
Carlos Barahona has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Montevallo, which they completed in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies with a minor in Spanish Literature from the same university in 2012. Carlos also attended McGill-Toolen Catholic High School from 2006 to 2008 and completed their high school education in Yermo y Parres Puebla, Mexico from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in German Language and International Relations from the University of Düsseldorf.
