Akshit Bagga

Akshit Bagga has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Akshit is currently working as a Process Engineer at Universal Matter Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Process Engineer in Training (EIT) at Birla Carbon from September 2020 to June 2022.

Akshit also gained experience as a Project Intern at the City of Hamilton from January 2020 to August 2020. Before that, they worked at Phillips Carbon Black Limited as an Assistant Manager from August 2017 to August 2019. In this role, they were responsible for fulfilling process needs for the Brownfield Expansion Project, which included equipment selection, reviewing PFDs and P&IDs, and overseeing the erection and commissioning of pipelines, equipment, and instruments.

Akshit also had internships at Phillips Carbon Black Limited in 2016 and Indian Oil Corporation Limited in 2015, where they gained valuable exposure to the industry. Overall, Akshit Bagga's work experience showcases their expertise and versatility in the engineering field.

Akshit Bagga has a strong educational background in engineering. Akshit obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Refining and Petrochemicals from UPES, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Akshit further pursued their education by completing a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Design specializing in Process and Production Systems from McMaster University, where they studied from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their academic achievements, Akshit Bagga has also obtained several certifications. Akshit is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certified by Professional Engineers Ontario, which they obtained in June 2023. Akshit also holds the certification of Engineer In Training from the same institution, acquired in September 2021. Furthermore, they have obtained a Six Sigma: Green Belt certification from LinkedIn in July 2020, showcasing their expertise in process improvement. Lastly, they achieved certification in MATLAB from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies in January 2017, demonstrating their proficiency in this programming language.
