Edward Asafu-Adjaye

Edward Asafu-Adjaye has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Edward started their career as a Finance Graduate Associate at First Atlantic Bank Ghana in 2001 and later became a Senior Relationship Manager in Private Banking. In 2010, they joined UBA Ghana Limited as a Business Analyst in Business Transformation and then became the Head of Wholesale Banking for FMCG. In 2016, they moved to Universal Merchant Bank as the Head of Corporate Banking for FMCG and Commodities. In 2019, they took on the role of Lead Project Manager for Deposit Mobilization, Liquidity Management, and Debt Recovery, where they were responsible for bank deposit growth and liquidity management, as well as managing delinquent accounts and non-performing loans.

Edward Asafu-Adjaye completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Economy from the same university, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Edward has obtained several certifications, including "Corporate Finance Foundations" and "Income Statement (P&L) and Cash Flow Explained" in 2020, as well as "How to Master Your Executive Presence" and "Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti (Thirty Minute Mentors)" in 2024, all from LinkedIn.
