Paulo Lima

Paulo Lima is an accomplished executive in the music and audio engineering industries, currently serving as President of Universal Music Group since May 2016. Prior to this role, Paulo was the CEO of iMusica, a prominent digital service provider for mobile carriers and internet portals in Latin America, and co-founded Ground Control Professional Audio, specializing in audio engineering in Florida. With a rich history as the CEO and Founder of Ground Control Audio Profissional in Brazil and experience as Technical Director at Nas Nuvens Studios, regarded as the top recording studio in Rio de Janeiro, Paulo has built a robust career in audio and music management. Additional early experience includes positions at PolyGram and Som Livre, complemented by formal education in artificial intelligence from MIT Sloan School of Management and certifications in Protools engineering.
