Sean Smith

Sean Smith is an experienced communications professional in the entertainment industry, currently serving as Vice President of Publicity Communications at Universal Pictures since August 2018. Prior to this role, Sean worked as a freelance editor and writer from January 2018 to May 2023. Sean's extensive experience includes a long tenure at Entertainment Weekly, where Sean held the position of Executive Editor from September 2013 to May 2023 and previously served as Los Angeles Bureau Chief from 2007 to 2011. Sean Smith holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
