Software Engineer at Universal Quantum

Pete Taylour has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Pete started their career at the BBC as a Trainee Research Technologist in September 2013, where they gained hands-on experience with various projects. Pete then moved on to become an R&D Engineer at the BBC in September 2015, where they continued to work on innovative projects. In September 2017, they were promoted to the role of Project R&D Engineer, leading a team in prototyping future broadcast tools on the web stack. During their time at the BBC, they worked on projects ranging from real-time video processing in the browser to architecting scalable trends services.

In 2019, Pete joined Klydo as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on full-stack development. Pete was involved in the design and implementation of applications and data pipelines, as well as contributing to defining the team's goals and strategies. At Klydo, their work involved a range of technologies.

In 2022, Pete moved on to Slite as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. Pete had a broad scope of responsibilities, working on various areas of the stack and collaborating closely with colleagues from different squads. Their primary focus was backend development, and they played a key role in designing and building backend systems used throughout the product.

Currently, Pete is working as a Software Engineer at Universal Quantum since June 2023. Further details about their role at Universal Quantum are not available.

Pete Taylour completed their secondary education at John Masefield High School from 2002 to 2009. Pete then pursued a degree in physics at the University of Bristol, graduating with an MSci in 2013.
