Andrew Pether

Andrew Pether is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in robotics and technical support, currently serving as the AI Applications Lead and R&D Manager at Universal Robots since May 2014. In this role, Andrew leads a U.S. innovation team focused on enhancing the flexibility and usability of collaborative robots. Previous positions at Universal Robots include Principal Innovation Research Engineer, Head of Applications and Technical Support (APAC), and Regional Technical Support Engineer, where Andrew contributed significantly to fostering technical communities and enhancing application capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior experience includes roles at Shadow Robot Company and Gaitech International Ltd., where Andrew promoted advanced robotics solutions and built technical teams. Andrew holds a Master’s Degree in Sensors and Electronic Instrumentation from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor's Degree in Cybernetics from the University of Bradford.
