José Palacios G.

José Palacios G. is a Metallurgist Civil Engineer at, University of Santiago. Diploma in Metallurgy, Tohoku University, Japan and Ph.D., Purdue University, USA. More than 40 years of experience in national and foreign universities. He was Rector of the University of Atacama, has participated in commissions and councils of the Chilean higher education system and institutions of the Regional Government of Atacama. He directed the scholarship program "Technicians Abroad" and has been part of the Selection Committee, Negotiator, and Manager of Monitoring of Performance Agreements of the Ministry of Education. In addition, he has published as author and co-author several articles in the field of physico-chemistry of metallurgical processes, environmental issues and recycling, and management of higher education.
