Frank Alberto Ibarra Hernandez

Frank Alberto Ibarra Hernandez serves as the Dean of the Sciences and Engineering Faculty at Universidad del Sinú - Elias Bechara Zainum - Sede Montería since August 2015, while also holding positions as a docente e investigador and decano (e) in the same institution. Alongside academic responsibilities, Frank has been the General Manager at Engesol S.A.S. from August 2015 to September 2023. Previous experience includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), where Frank conducted research at LEP, and a visiting doctoral scholar role at Washington State University’s Smart Grid Lab. Frank was also a full-time professor at Universidad del Norte and has experience managing operations at the Urra 1 hydroelectric power plant. Educational achievements include a PhD, a Master in Technologies for Generating Electricity from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad del Norte.
