Felix Farias Campos

Felix Farias Campos serves as the Rector of Campus La Romana at Universidad Federico Henríquez y Carvajal (UFHEC) since February 2019. Previously, Felix held the position of Director General de Informatica at MESCYT from 2004 to November 2016, overseeing information and communication technology areas and managing directors of development, maintenance, networks, and telephony. In an earlier role as Vice Rector Ejecutivo at Universidad del Caribe from March 1996 to December 2003, Felix contributed to project development. Felix also served as Director General de Informatica at the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic from October 1994 to March 1998, playing a key role in the implementation of the first computer laboratories in public schools. Felix holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Havana, a Doctorate in Computer Engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, and a Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Mathematics and Physics from UTESA and PUCMM.
