Mónica Castillo Arjona is an experienced legal professional specializing in administrative contracting, arbitration, mediation, labor law, immigration services, consumer protection, and litigation. Currently serving as the Director of Mónica Castillo Arjona-Despacho Jurídico since September 2021, Mónica has also contributed to academia as a lecturer in Public Contract and Obligations at Universidad Latina de Panamá since 2004. Previous roles include serving as the Deputy Administrative Prosecutor at the Procuraduría de la Administración de Panamá from January 2020 to September 2021 and as the Secretary General from January 2015 to July 2021. Mónica is pursuing a Doctorate in Law and Social Sciences, focusing on Public-Private Partnerships at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, and holds a Master's degree in Procedural Law, alongside a Graduate degree in Alternative Methods of Conflict Resolution, Arbitration, and Mediation from Universidad Latina de Panamá, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad de Panamá.
