I am a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland, affiliated with The Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS). I hold a research position at the Biodiversity, Environment, and Society (BIOMAS - USIL) research group. My research revolves around the comprehensive study of plastics in the marine environment, encompassing their quantification, characterization, degradation, interaction, and chemistry. To date, I have published over 100 scholarly articles on this subject matter. I have also participated in the XXIX Peruvian Antarctic expedition and have been awarded research grants to investigate microplastic pollution along the Peruvian coast.
