Rossella Tricarico is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Genetics at Università di Pavia since September 2020 and a Marie-Curie fellow. Previously, Rossella was a Visiting Scientist at Helmholtz Munich and Fox Chase Cancer Center, where work focused on genetic research. Rossella’s early career included a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Florence, addressing hereditary colorectal cancer genes and creating a database for unclassified MUTYH gene variants. Rossella started research as a fellow at the International Agency for Research on Cancer and held research positions at the University of Florence, Catholic University of Rome, and University of Bari. Rossella earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and has advanced degrees in Medical Genetics and Biological Science, emphasizing hereditary tumors and molecular cytogenetics.
