Juan Francisco Vargas

Juan Francisco Vargas is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environmental Agrobiology at the Universitat de Barcelona, a full-time program dedicated to sustainable agriculture and environmental management. Prior to this, Juan served as Technical Manager for AgroFresh in the East US from March 2022 to September 2025 and held various roles including Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector at Oppy from 2020 to 2022. With extensive experience in operations and quality assurance at QIMA Produce from 2012 to 2018 and working holiday experiences in Germany and New Zealand, Juan has a diverse background in agricultural sciences. Juan earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences and a Professional Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad de Chile between 2007 and 2012.
