Andy Scholz

Andy Scholz serves as the Künstlerische Leitung for Deutscher Fotobuchpreis since April 2023, overseeing a diverse range of photographic publications and projects. As a Lehrbeauftragter at Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg since April 2022, Andy advocates for the increased inclusion of photography in teacher training programs. Additionally, Andy is the founder and podcaster of Fotografie Neu Denken, a podcast that explores the significance of photographic images in society and education. From July 2016, Andy has held the position of Künstlerischer Leiter und Kurator for the Festival Fotografischer Bilder. Other notable roles include serving as Intendant for the INTERNATIONALES FESTIVAL FOTOGRAFISCHER BILDER and as a Dozent at Universität Regensburg. Freelance artistic endeavors and visual storytelling have been undertaken since 2003, with an academic background that includes a Diplom Designer degree from Folkwang Universität der Künste.
