Joan Miquel Canals is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of oenology and biochemistry. Currently serving as the Commissioner for International Affairs and Coordinator of the VitaGlobal project at Universitat Rovira i Virgili since October 2008, Joan Miquel Canals focuses on developing wine and vine science education modules for higher education institutions. As an Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Oenology, responsibilities include managing academic organization. Previously, a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Australian Wine Research Institute, contributions involved studying molecular interactions related to astringency perception.
