Michele Serra

Michele Serra currently serves as the Clinical Research Manager at University Hospital Zürich, overseeing clinical trials on metabolic and bariatric surgery in individuals with obesity, focusing on innovative therapeutic interventions. Michele also works as a Venture Builder at ETH Student Project House, aiming to transform obesity care. Previous roles include Research Fellow in Population Epigenetics & Epigenomics at Technical University of Munich, where significant contributions to the understanding of epigenetic mechanisms were published in Nature, and Project Manager in Nutrition and Dietetics at Berner Fachhochschule BFH, earning recognition from the Senevita Foundation. Michele's educational background includes a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Zurich, a Master of Science in Biology from Technical University of Munich, and ongoing post-doctoral research in Obesity Research and a Master's in Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zürich.
