Olivier Fontaine

Olivier Fontaine is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) since September 2021 and serves as a Junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) starting from October 2020. Previously, Olivier Fontaine was a Professor Assistant at the ICGM - AIME - University of Montpellier from September 2012 to September 2021 and worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of St Andrews from November 2011 to September 2021. Additionally, Olivier Fontaine held a position as a post-docorant at the Collège de France from January 2010 to November 2011, focusing on innovative materials for societal challenges related to environment, energy, and medicine. Olivier Fontaine holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from Université Paris Cité, earned between 2006 and 2009. Research interests include the development of high-capacity Li-ion batteries to meet long-term societal energy needs.
