Rachel Cotton

Rachel Cotton is a highly experienced educator and musician, currently serving as Chargée de cours en formation auditive at Université de Montréal since September 2017. Rachel has held various teaching positions at École de musique Vincent-d'Indy since 2007, focusing on piano, auditory training, and music theory, and has also taught at École des jeunes de la Faculté de musique since 1998. In addition to teaching, Rachel has worked as an independent musician since 1994, performing as a pianist in solo, accompaniment, and chamber music settings. Previous roles include physiotherapist specializing in musician treatment at Kinatex Sports Physio and numerous positions at Université de Montréal, including accompaniment and instructional roles. Rachel holds multiple degrees in music and physiotherapy from esteemed institutions such as McGill University and Université de Montréal.
