Issouf Soumare

Issouf Soumare has extensive experience in finance and education, currently serving as the Director of The Laboratory for Financial Engineering (LABIFUL) and a Professor of Finance at Université Laval since 2004. Soumare also holds the position of Director of International Relations at FSA ULaval and leads the PhD and MSc Research programs at Université Soumare. As the President-Founder of the Institut Panafricain de la Gouvernance Économique et Financière (IPAGEF) and Co-president of the organization since 2017, Soumare plays a pivotal role in promoting economic governance and financial education in Africa. Prior experience includes working as an Analyst in Credit Risk Management at the African Development Bank from 1996 to 1998. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Finance from The University of British Columbia and several master’s degrees in financial engineering, statistics, and mathematics from various prestigious institutions.
