Alain Fuchs

Professor Alain Fuchs is a physical chemist whose specialty is molecular thermodynamics. He is the co-author of 200 publications and has made numerous university trips abroad. Alain Fuchs is currently President of Université PSL. He was President of the CNRS, and before that Director of the National School of Chemistry of Paris, after having been Director of the Laboratory of Chemistry-Physics of Orsay. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a member of the Academia Europaea. He holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Knight of the Legion of Honor and decorated with the Order of the Rising Sun, gold and silver star. Alain Fuchs was elected president of the Comue and the FCS PSL in October 2017
