Arnaud Tourin

Doctor in physics from Paris Cité University, Arnaud Tourin is a professor at ESPCI Paris-PSL. He was Deputy Director (2009-2014) then Director (2014-2022) of the Langevin Institute, a laboratory dedicated to waves which combines fundamental physics, instrumental developments and business creation. He was a member of the National Council of Universities (2007-2010) and of the National Committee for Scientific Research (2012-2016). His research concerns wave propagation in complex media, with contributions relating to ultrasonic acoustics, microwaves and geophysics. He has co-authored more than 80 publications: peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and books. Co-inventor of 6 patents, he co-founded the company Time Reversal Communications. With three colleagues, he won the Diderot Innovation prize in 2007.
