Lisa Burke-Wallace

Lisa Burke-Wallace is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and media relations. Currently serving as Assistant Director Communications and External Communications Manager at Universities Canada since May 2021, Lisa has also contributed as a Freelance Reporter for The Canadian Press since January 2003, covering notable amateur and professional sports events in Ottawa, including the Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Redblacks. Prior experience includes serving as Web Writer, Researcher, and Editor for MikeFisher.ca from September 2009 to May 2021, where responsibilities encompassed managing the online presence of the player. Additionally, Lisa worked as a Sports and General News Reporter at the Ottawa Citizen from April 1996 to April 2013, producing feature articles and columns on local community and sporting events.
