Malcolm Press Cbe

Malcolm Press CBE currently holds the position of Vice-Chancellor at The Manchester Metropolitan University since June 2015. In addition, Malcolm Press serves as a Board Member and Vice-President for Universities UK (England and Northern Ireland, 2024-26) and is a Board Member for multiple organizations, including the British Council, UCAS, and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE). Malcolm Press has also held trustee roles with WWF-UK and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and was a Board Member for the Manchester International Festival. Previously, Malcolm Press was Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Birmingham and has been involved with the National Trust as a Council Member. Malcolm Press holds a PhD in Ecology from The University of Manchester, a BS in Environmental Science from the University of London, and a Diploma in Spanish and Latin American Studies from The University of Sheffield.
