Sherie Walker, M.A. is a skilled therapist with extensive experience in mental health care, currently working at the University Behavioral Center since August 2021. This role includes conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions for diverse populations, completing biopsychosocial assessments, and collaborating with legal guardians. Previous positions encompass being a Mental Health Technician and Graduate Student Intern at Aspire Health Partners, where Sherie facilitated therapeutic groups, one-on-one sessions, and formulated treatment plans. Furthermore, experience at the University of Central Florida's Counseling Clinic involved co-facilitating counseling sessions and maintaining proper documentation. Sherie also contributed to student services at Indian River State College and provided emotional support as a volunteer with Treasure Coast Hospice and Coalition For Independent Living Options. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, as well as multiple degrees in Human Services and Social Work, supplemented by a certification in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Since 1989, University Behavioral Center has been dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality treatment for mental health and substance use disorder related issues to patients in Orlando, Florida. Located on a beautiful 14-acre campus, University Behavioral Center is within the Central Florida Research Park Development and neighbors the University of Central Florida. University Behavioral Center’s facilities include a swimming pool, a wellness center and gymnasium and an outdoor reflection atrium. Our hospital is divided into two physically separate wings, the children/adolescent wing and the adult wing. Each is subdivided into secured units. Secure 24-hour supervision helps promote patient safety and a therapeutic living environment. University Behavioral Center proudly supports a healthy environment. University Behavioral Center is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and licensed by the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administrations as a Class III Psychiatric Hospital.
