Benjamin Frei

Benjamin Frei is an experienced pediatric trauma specialist currently serving as the Head Physician and Head of Pediatric Trauma Surgery at Universitäts-Kinderspital beider Basel (UKBB) since September 2020. Prior to this role, Benjamin held positions as Senior Physician and Deputy Senior Physician at UKBB from 2014 to 2019, and had earlier experience as an Assistant Physician at both Insel Gruppe and Kantonsspital Baselland. Benjamin started the medical career as an Assistant Physician at University Children's Hospital in 2010. Benjamin completed a medical degree (Staatsexamen, Medizin) at the University of Basel from 2002 to 2008.
