Cassandra Wilson serves as a Program Specialist II at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since September 2021, leading climate and ocean initiatives through project management and strategic communications. Prior to this role, Cassandra held a Program Specialist I position upon the transfer of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership team to UCAR, where responsibilities included coordinating cross-agency collaboration and authoring strategic reports for national coastal decision-making. Cassandra's earlier experience includes an internship in ocean policy and communications with the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, focusing on policy briefs and science-based communications. Leadership experience as President of The Coastal Society URI Chapter and a teaching assistant role at the University of Rhode Island complement a solid educational foundation, with a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of Delaware. Cassandra is currently furthering education through UC Berkeley Extension.
