Lee-Ann Simpson

Lee-ann Simpson is an experienced weather professional currently working as an Associate Scientist at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since January 2022. Prior to this role, Lee-ann served as a Meteorological Trainer at SAWS from February 2008 to January 2022, focusing on training BSc Honours students in Meteorology and conducting continuous in-house and online training. Lee-ann's earlier experience includes working as a Weather Forecaster at the South African Weather Service from February 2003 to January 2008, where responsibilities included issuing marine and public weather forecasts. Lee-ann holds a Master of Science in Meteorology from the University of Pretoria and completed a Programme in Management Development at GIBS Business School.
