Anoop M. Nambiar, MD, MS, currently serves as a Professor of Medicine and Founding Director of both the Interstitial Lung Disease Program and ILD Clinic at UT Health San Antonio, where tenure began in September 2010. In addition to this role, Nambiar is the Center Director for the PFF Care Center at Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and co-director of the Pulmonary Function Testing Lab and Home Oxygen Services at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. Nambiar has also held positions such as Medical Director for the San Antonio Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group and Staff Physician at University Health System. Previous experience includes roles as Deputy Chair and Board Member of the Institutional Review Board at UTHSCSA, as well as training as a Fellow and Resident Physician at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Nambiar holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation and Translational Science from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
