Emily Volk

Emily Volk serves as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at University Health System since April 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing clinical initiatives to enhance quality and safety in patient care. Volk has been a Board Member of the College of American Pathologists since September 2012. Previous roles include Chief Quality Officer at Baptist Health System, where efforts focused on ensuring high-quality patient care, and Medical Director of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine within the same organization. Early career experiences encompass positions as a Pathologist at Clinical Pathology Associates, Vice Chief of Pathology and Laboratories at William Beaumont Hospital, and a Cytopathology Fellow. Volk holds an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
