Adam Spann is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background in critical care and respiratory therapy. Currently serving as Charge Nurse in the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport since October 2018, Spann has held various positions including Critical Care RN - Charge at University Health since October 2013, and Critical Care RN 3 at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport from January 2008 to October 2013. Prior experience includes serving as RRT 2 at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of Shreveport from May 1994 to December 2007, specializing in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care, as well as advanced practices in ECLS. Educational credentials include an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Southern University at Shreveport, an Associate of Science in Cardiopulmonary Science from Bossier Parish Community College, and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

On October 1, 2018, Ochsner and LSU Health Shreveport jointly formed a new health system, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, to oversee and coordinate activities between the health sciences center and the healthcare delivery system in Shreveport and Monroe. Under the new structure, Ochsner brings their nationally-recognized expertise to the management of operations for partner hospitals in Shreveport and Monroe, clinics and the clinical activity of the LSUHSC-S Faculty Group Practice. LSU continues to successfully oversee the LSUHSC-S School of Medicine, School of Allied Health Professions, School of Graduate Studies, Graduate Medical Education, and research initiatives.
