Gretchen Knoell

Gretchen Knoell is a trustee at University Liggett School and a former mentor at Backstage Capital. Gretchen has also served on the screening committee for the Michigan Pre Seed Fund and the Michigan Angel Fund. In 2003, they founded Lake Street Capital, where they served as managing partner until 2018. Prior to that, they were VP of Corporate Development at Digital Island from 1998 to 1999 and Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of West Coast Technology Investment Banking at Bear Stearns from 1997 to 1999.

Gretchen Knoell professional education began with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Gretchen followed that with an MBA from Harvard Business School. Finally, they participated in executive education at Harvard Business School focused on making corporate boards more effective.
