B. Abigail Tarango, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors. B. Abigail is currently the Executive Director of University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso, a 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports patient care, education, healthcare professionals, and research. B. Abigail also holds the position of Executive Director of El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation. Prior to these roles, they founded and served as President of Accelerate to Educate, LLC, and worked as a Reviewer for the Department of Education, Employment, and Workplace Relations. B. Abigail has also served as the Director of Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives at Ysleta Independent School District. At Texas A&M University, they worked as a Texas A&M AgriLife Faculty-Extension Education, and at The University of Texas at El Paso, they were an instructor for the TRio Program-Upward Bound. Earlier in their career, they worked as a K4 Teacher/Preschool Educator and Coordinator for Marathon Kids.
B. Abigail Tarango, Ph.D has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration PK-20 from New Mexico State University. In 2017, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education for a Women in Education Leadership program. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive Education degree in Executive Leadership in Healthcare Program (Collaboration between Rice and MD Anderson Cancer Center) from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
