Uros Visic, MSc, currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Novo mesto since October 2021. Visic has extensive experience in critical care and intensive medicine, working at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana since September 2012 in the ICU Department of Intensive Perinatal Medicine and the Clinical Department of Vascular Neurology and Neurological ICU. Prior to this role, Visic was involved in anesthesia, reanimation, and surgical intensive care at General Hospital Izola from September 2010 to September 2012. Uros Visic is also pursuing a PhD in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, and holds a Master's Degree in Public Healthcare from the University of Primorska Faculty of Health Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana.

The University Medical Centre Ljubljana (UMC Ljubljana) is a public health care institution providing medical services at the secondary and tertiary level. Primary care is also offered at the Divison of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. The UMCL is the leading medical institution in Slovenia and one of the largest hospitals in central Europe. It covers all subspecialties that define a hospital as a tertiary care centre (except adult psychiatry), and operates an extensive and successful transplantation programme. As the main training base for the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, the UMCL effectively combines clinical work with education and research.
