Amy Smith

Amy Smith, MBA, CMRP, currently serves as Sr. Director of Materials Management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since December 2019, overseeing the strategic direction of Supply Chain Materials, Logistics, Operations, and Purchased Services for all hospitals and ambulatory locations, managing over 100 employees and 600+ supply par locations. Prior to this role, Amy held the position of Director of Supply Logistics at UF Health from October 2007 to October 2019, leading multiple departments and 120+ staff in various supply chain activities. Earlier experience includes serving as Supply Chain Manager at McKesson and Materials Manager/Purchasing at Columbia/HCA, where management of inventory and development of staff were key responsibilities. Amy earned an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/E-Business from the University of Phoenix.
