John-Paul Robinson

John-Paul Robinson is an accomplished HPC Architect and Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since April 2002, where responsibilities include designing a web-based self-service environment and managing a significant hardware budget. With experience as a Software Architect and System Architect, John-Paul has played a key role in enhancing the campus HPC environment and supporting strategic plans for research computing. Prior to this, John-Paul worked at Electronic Healthcare Systems as a Software Developer/Manager and Software Developer, contributing to web interfaces for electronic health records and systems integration. Early career experience at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a User Consultant and System Administrator involved building and operating key infrastructure such as mail systems and Unix networks. John-Paul holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Jacksonville State University.
