Rob Ferrill

Rob Ferrill serves as the AVP-CISO at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, overseeing the university's information security efforts and expanding the InfoSec teams to enhance threat hunting and vulnerability management. Recently appointed to the CISO Advisory Council for Dune Security, Rob advises on the development of an innovative employee security posture management solution. Previously, Rob held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at UAB Medicine, managing security for one of the largest hospitals in the nation, and served as Chief Security Officer at HealthSouth, focusing on IT security strategy and governance. Rob's extensive background includes roles such as Director of Information Security and Security Engineer in multiple organizations and military service in the US Navy Reserves. Rob earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Auburn University.
