Sarah Nafziger

Sarah Nafziger serves as Professor Emerita in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since December 2023, having held multiple academic and leadership roles at UAB, including Professor in the UAB School of Public Health and Vice President of Clinical Support Services at UAB Medicine. Nafziger also has experience as Medical Director of Employee Health and Physician Advisor for the Center for Patient Flow while serving as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Neurology at the UAB School of Medicine. Nafziger was President of the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians from June 2016 to June 2018 and has contributed as a board member from 2012 to 2020. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master's of Science in Healthcare Administration from the same institution, alongside a Bachelor's of Science in Professional Biology from the University of North Alabama.
