Alex McPherson

Alex McPherson has extensive experience in leadership and governance within healthcare and academic sectors. Since 2012, Alex has served as a Board Director for the Workers Compensation Board in Alberta and IR2Dx, while also holding the position of President at T.A. McPherson, P.C., and Owner of a Professional Corporation since 1972. Alex's academic contributions include over five decades as a Professor and Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta. Additionally, Alex has held directorial roles in various organizations, such as the Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network and NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included chairing committees focused on governance and compensation. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Immunology from the University of Melbourne, an MD from the University of Alberta, and several fellowships with notable medical bodies in Australia, Canada, and the USA.
