Andrew Cooper Chsc

Andrew Cooper CHSC is a seasoned leader in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, currently serving as the Manager of HSE Regulatory and Consulting Services at the University of Alberta since March 2010. With a diverse background that includes roles such as Acting Director of Environment, Health & Safety and Subject Matter Expert/Instructor for health and safety courses, Andrew has significantly contributed to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement in various educational and professional settings. Additionally, Andrew held several leadership positions within the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, including President and Immediate Past President, where responsibilities included financial management and advocacy for safety professionals across Canada. Andrew's experience is complemented by a prior consulting role at Safety Forge Consulting and a long tenure in municipal government, establishing safety policies for multi-facility operations. Andrew holds a diploma in Industrial Hygiene Technology from Lambton College.
