Hernando Leon

Hernando Leon, MD PhD FRCPC FACP is a highly experienced physician specializing in General Internal Medicine, currently serving as a General Internist at Lacombe Medical Clinic since November 2021 and as Site Lead and Attending Physician at Sturgeon Community Hospital since July 2013. Additionally, Hernando holds positions as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. Previous roles include attending physician at Misericordia Community Hospital and a general internist at Glenwood Internal Medicine & Cardiology Clinic. Hernando's extensive training includes a fellowship in General Internal Medicine, an internal medicine residency, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Clinical Sciences, all obtained from the University of Alberta, along with a medical degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
