Jim Franks B.A., M.A.S, CIAPP-M is a Senior Instructor at the University of Alberta, where Jim teaches courses related to Information Access and Protection of Privacy. In addition to their role as a Senior Instructor, Jim also serves as the Associate University Archivist, managing the University of Alberta Archives. Jim also works as a Subject Matter Expert in Access and Privacy, helping to develop courses for the Information Access and Protection of Privacy Certificate Program. Prior to their time at the University of Alberta, Jim gained experience working as a Senior Consultant at Cenera and as a Clerk at The Corporation of the City of Richmond. Jim holds a Master of Archival Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from The University of British Columbia.
