Kris Benson

Kris Benson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information systems and consulting, currently serving as a Senior Consultant at the University of Alberta since February 2017. Benson leads the MedIT / Learning Design Studio project within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and is engaged in the redevelopment of an integrated Program Delivery System. As the owner of Natural Networks since 1994, Kris operates an independent consulting business that delivers customized computer systems and training to various clients. Additional roles have included leadership positions at the University of Alberta, where Kris has managed multidisciplinary teams and developed strategic IT plans within the Faculty of Science and the Office of the Registrar. With a Master of Business Administration from the University of Northern British Columbia, supplemented by scuba diving instructorship certifications, Kris combines technical expertise with strong project management and instructional skills.
