Sandeep Agrawal

Sandeep Agrawal is an accomplished academic and leader in urban and regional planning with extensive experience at the University of Alberta since 2013, currently holding the positions of Associate Dean for Program Innovation, Diversity, and Inclusion, as well as Professor. In addition to these roles, Sandeep Agrawal is the Director of the Alberta Land Institute as of July 2023 and previously served as Professor and Director at the University of Alberta School of Urban and Regional Planning until June 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Professor and Founding Graduate Director at Toronto Metropolitan University from 1999 to 2013, and professional roles as a Planner and GIS Analyst at Parsons Corporation and Preservation Planner for the City of St. Louis. Sandeep Agrawal's academic credentials include a PhD in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of City Planning from the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
