Nathan van Kleij

Coördinator Propedeuse Geschiedenis at University of Amsterdam

Nathan van Kleij is a lecturer in Medieval and Urban History at the Universiteit van Amsterdam since August 2021. Previously, Nathan served as a history lecturer at Universiteit Leiden from August 2020 to July 2021, and participated in various educational roles including educational journalism and advisory positions in historical content for curriculum development at Blink until June 2023. Nathan completed a PhD in History at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in March 2021, focusing on urban society in the fifteenth-century Low Countries. Education credentials include a Master's in Research History from Universiteit van Amsterdam, a pre-master at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a Bachelor of Education in History from Windesheim. Additionally, Nathan is currently the coordinator for the propedeuse geschiedenis at Skript Historisch Tijdschrift starting January 2024.
