Sunny Raheem

Sunny Raheem, P.E. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of System Planning at Southwest Power Pool since November 2010. In this role, Sunny leads critical regional transmission planning assessments, innovative research, and the development of transmission planning policies. Previous positions include Manager of Planning Policy and Research, Supervisor of Modeling, Senior Engineer in both Modeling and Generator Interconnection, and Engineer II/I in Generator Interconnection. In addition to industry experience, Sunny contributes to academia as the Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program Advisory Council at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Sunny holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the same institution.
