Helen Carey

Helen Carey is an accomplished fundraising professional with extensive experience in higher education and philanthropy. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Fundraising (Interim) at the University of Birmingham since October 2017, Helen leads a team focused on fostering donor relationships to support students and impactful research. Previous roles include Head of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Manager for North America, where Helen cultivated connections with alumni and organizations in the US and Canada. Additionally, Helen has held positions at various institutions, including Senior Development Officer at St Anne's College, University of Oxford, and Development Programme Officer at Eton College. Helen is also a committee member at PyroTalks CIC and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA). Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Royal Holloway, University of London, and is pursuing an Executive MBA from the University of Birmingham.
